The Railway Children
125% Profit For Ideas Factory Members In 9 Months Now You Have The Chance To Climb Aboard In 2011
So many of you have been asking about this opportunity that I’m thrilled we have once again been chosen as the premier promoter of this unique theatrical production: The Railway Children. Yes, it’s returning to the West End stage. Last spring we presented the opportunity to take a slice of this show at London’s Waterloo Station. All Ideas Factory members who climbed aboard at that time have received a whopping 125% profit on their investments. Some even took part in the production as Extras! Initially set for a 9-week run, the show broke the weekly Box Office record for a play in London, recouped its costs in six weeks and extended for a further 17 weeks. Following this success and no less than 14 four-star reviews, the Producers have now negotiated a return to Waterloo Station in June of this year. And for those of you who saw the production in 2010, you’ll recall the wonderful transformation of the disused Eurostar terminal into a spectacular theatre venue, the star of the show being a real life 19th Century steam train! Produced by the same team that staged ‘An Inspector Calls’ (Wyndhams), ‘The Woman in Black’ (Fortune) and the sell-out multi-media extravaganza ‘Peter Pan’ in Kensington Park, the initial run will be for eleven weeks with a possible extension for a further 19 weeks. And this is great news: not only will it mean a longer run than last year, it will also allow the restaging to go on sale to groups and schools, a market that was not even exploited last year. Previously, this opportunity was oversubscribed within a fortnight, and the Producers even had to return some people’s money. This year it’s being re-launched off the back of an incredibly successful run and truly does have the momentum of a steam train behind it, plus phenomenal reviews. Here’s what the critics say: ‘SPECTACULAR’ – LIBBY PURVES, TIMES Critics Choice ‘THRILLING’ – MICHAEL BILLINGTON, GUARDIAN ‘GLORIOUS’ – CHARLES SPENCER, DAILY TELEGRAPH ‘REMARKABLE’ – PAUL CALLAN, DAILY EXPRESS ‘EXCELLENT’ – QUENTIN LETTS, DAILY MAIL ‘BEAUTIFUL’ – IAN SHUTTLEWORTH, FINANCIAL TIMES ‘SPELLBINDING’ – MARK SHENTON, SUNDAY EXPRESS Critics Choice ‘A MUST SEE’ – SAM MARLOWE, TIME OUT ‘FANTASTIC’ – LIZ VERCOE, NEWS OF THE WORLD ‘MIRACULOUS’ – EVENING STANDARD Critics Choice ‘The perfect family show complete with real steam engine.’ – MICHAEL BILLINGTON, GUARDIAN Critics Choice ‘A miraculous staging of E Nesbit’s classic with a real steamengine.’ – LYNNE GARDENER, EVENING STANDARD ‘Cruden’s excellent production never runs out of steam’ – MICHAEL BILLINGTON, GUARDIAN ‘The show’s great coup is the glorious arrival of a splendid, fully operational Victorian steam engine’ – CHARLES SPENCER, DAILY TELEGRAPH ‘An ideal holiday treat’ – PAUL CALLAN, DAILY EXPRESS ‘Full steam ahead’ – FIONA MOUNTFORD, EVENING STANDARD ‘A thrilling ride back to childhood’s romance’ – MICHAEL BILLINGTON, GUARDIAN ‘The performances are first class’ – GEORGINA BROWN, MAIL ON SUNDAY ‘Exhilarating, witty and charming – full of adventure’ – SAM MARLOWE, TIME OUT ‘Fantastic cast and a remarkable setting’ – LIZ VERCOE, NEWS OF THE WORLD This opportunity really does speak for itself.
